Thank you for using Cipherflow. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and protect your information when you use Cipherflow.

1. No Data Collection

Cipherflow is built with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or file-related data.

We do not collect:

  • Your personal identity (name, email, address, etc.)

  • IP addresses or device identifiers

  • File content or metadata

  • Encryption keys or passwords

  • Usage statistics or behavior analytics

All operations happen locally on your device, with no internet communication.

2. File Encryption and Decryption

Cipherflow enables you to encrypt and decrypt files locally, without transferring them over any network.

  • Supported algorithms include AES, and other standard encryption methods.

  • Users can choose their preferred encryption algorithm directly in the app.

  • Encrypted files are saved only to locations you specify.

You remain in full control of your data and files at all times.

3. Password Storage

To help simplify usage, Cipherflow offers the option to save password securely using the Windows Credential Manager, a system-level secure storage provided by Microsoft.

  • This is optional; you may also choose not to save any passwords.

  • Saved credentials are never transmitted and are stored only on your local system.

  • We do not have access to or visibility into your credentials.

Please remember that lost passwords cannot be recovered.

4. Security Practices

We follow strong security practices:

  • All encryption is performed using trusted libraries implementing standard algorithms.

  • No data is uploaded to the cloud.

  • No third-party analytics or tracking tools are used.

  • Files and passwords never leave your device.

Important: Cipherflow is a local tool. While we aim to provide a secure environment, you are responsible for:

  • Choosing strong, unique passwords

  • Managing and backing up your files securely

  • Ensuring your device is protected (e.g., from malware)

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Cipherflow evolves. All changes will be communicated clearly inside the application or on our website (if applicable).
